The River Medic program is an integral part of Remote Area Incident Management (Remote AIM). Remote AIM is designed to deal with and manage the scene of an incident. The River Medic role is primarily to provide high standard pre-hospital treatment in remote and testing environments.

Raging Thunder’s River Medics are trained in Emergency medical response by one of Australia’s leading providers in advanced medical training. The program ensures that a River Medic is present on all of Raging Thunder’s rafting tours to treat, consult and to extend quality and professionalism in customer service. River Medics carry a very comprehensive medical kit on the raft with them and in the event of an incident they can generally respond within 6 minutes. The response time alone highlights the uniqueness of the program.

Regular in-house training sessions and bi-annual re-qualification training ensures that Raging Thunder’s River Medics maintain consistency and competency in patient care.
